De Dietrich Washing machine · your observations
Was it the wash, the emptying or the final spin?
Begin with the stage you recognised, rather than the part you suspect. A drum holding water and an emptied drum with wet laundry need different descriptions. Keep the programme, door status and exact warning with your full model reference.
Why drainage and spinning are separate
Many machines will not proceed to the final spin while water remains. Say whether it emptied, whether the door unlocked and what the panel showed. Those observations help keep a drainage enquiry separate from a drive or load-balance question.
Emptying finished but the load stayed wet
Note the load and selected programme, and whether the drum moved at other ordinary stages. Balance, drive or control questions may be relevant. Wet washing alone does not establish a failed motor.
A different sound starts during use
Describe the sound and its timing: at selection, during movement or at the end. Stop use for smoke, burning or uncontrolled movement instead of running another demonstration.
When a photograph would help
Use the accessible panel or normal fitted position and check for private paperwork in the frame. Never recreate burning, tripping or dangerous leakage for the camera.
When replacement is being considered
Discuss the existing unit and connections first. Similar appearance, dimensions or a shared badge cannot by themselves establish a compatible replacement.
Reading the De Dietrich label
Keep the full installed De Dietrich designation, the actual product type and the existing control arrangement. This name identifies an enquiry route; it does not establish current manufacture, parts stock, replacement compatibility or acceptance of every product.
