ATAG Cooker hood · your observations
A working light does not tell the fan’s story.
Explain lighting, speed selection and air movement separately. If known, state whether air recirculates through filters or travels through an outside duct. Leave the fitted hood in place; there is no need to climb up or dismantle it.
The fitted air route matters
A recirculating hood and a ducted hood move air through different arrangements. Mention the existing route where known, without removing the unit. A change in sound, fan speed or light response should each have its own sentence.
Speed selection works but airflow seems reduced
Keep sound and air movement separate. The existing filter arrangement, controls and air route can matter to assessment. Do not unmount the hood or reach over an unsafe cooking surface for a closer view.
A message, number or symbol appears
Copy every character and preserve letters, zeroes and punctuation. The meaning depends on the exact product. A similar-looking warning on another appliance is not a reliable component diagnosis.
When the display remains normal
Keep the visible display and actual behaviour in separate sentences. A familiar-looking panel can remain illuminated even when the selected function produces a different result.
When a photograph would help
Use the accessible panel or normal fitted position and check for private paperwork in the frame. Never recreate burning, tripping or dangerous leakage for the camera.
Reading the ATAG label
Keep the full installed ATAG designation, the actual product type and the existing control arrangement. This name identifies an enquiry route; it does not establish current manufacture, parts stock, replacement compatibility or acceptance of every product.
At your Coulsdon address
Give the full service postcode and describe the actual fitted access in Coulsdon. CR5 is a broad postal reference. This guide does not establish a separate branch, service boundary or agreed attendance.
